Registered Charity No. 328193
We are the original, longest established, official non profitable St. Bernard registered charity in the UK. The St Bernard Trust was established in 1975 by Richard & Rachel Beaver and gained registered charitable status in 1988. The Trust is financed entirely by kind, generous voluntary donations which enables rescue and rehoming of previously unwanted, often neglected and abandoned saints.
We are always looking for help and ideas to raise funds. Our most recent fundraiser was the St. Bernard Trusts Boxing Day Dip at Seaton Carew raising an amazing £1323. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that came along to show support and to all that sponsored. The dogs we help will really benefit from your continued generosity. A great day was had by all.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time home checking, transporting, fundraising or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of kind, generous supporters like you.
We know there are times when circumstances change and people are no longer able to look after their pets. Taking action by contacting a re-homing charity like The St. Bernard Trust is a responsible decision to make. The St. Bernard Trust will help you through this tough time to find a forever loving home for your St. with empathy and without judgement. The St. Bernard Trust does not buy or sell dogs and will not assist in the re-homing if it is found that said dog is being sold on any selling pages/sites. The re-homing process can vary in time as we will always endeavour to match every Saint to a home that meets their individual needs and requirements. All new owners will be home & vet checked and new owners will sign a rescue agreement. If you need to re-home please check our about us page and then get in touch.
If you have thoroughly researched the breed and are certain a St. Bernard is the perfect addition to your family then please fill out an Adoption Application. This can be found at the bottom of 'looking for a home' page.
We will keep all your details on file and contact you once we feel we have a St. Your home is suitable for. We will always carry out a home and vet check before re-homing any St. Each dog has a different personality and temperament with a different need or requirement for their forever home so please don’t feel offended if we turn you down on a St. you are interested in, the dogs are our main concern and therefore we have to be as positive as we can that their new home will be their forever home. At the request of owners / breeders not all dogs looking for a home are listed.
